Your Breakfast Nutrition Guide
The Breakfast4kids website was created as an information site to provide people a quick reference check on their breakfast cereal. The idea came from breakfast conversations between the website creator and their eldest daughter regarding which breakfast was the healthiest.
Please remember that there are many other options for a healthier breakfast such as yoghurt, fresh fruit and eggs, although these may not always be practical when time is short, when opportunities do arise at weekends or holidays children will appreciate a change from the cereal boxes! Fresh fruit, such as sliced banana, is also an easy way to liven up a healthy cereal which the kids might not naturally go for such as bran flakes. Dried fruit such as raisins, sultanas and apricots can also be used, but remember these will increase the sugar content, but may be a preferable way to sweeten cereals than the added sugar many contain.
This site makes no recommendations but is purely to get a comparative view on cereals. There is lots of information available regarding Guideline Daily Amounts and nutrition and each person's requirements will be different. Please visit the links page or the website blog for further information.
